Dental Implants

Implants are an exciting way to replace missing teeth. A single missing tooth or multiple missing teeth can be replaced with this technique. This has proven to be very predictable and successful. Dr. Reza, Our staff works closely as part of a team of highly-trained specialists in the placing of implants. The goal is to re-establish the function of the teeth, restore the beauty of the smile and ultimately to make the person whole.

Bridges are another alternative to replacing missing teeth. It is a prosthesis that looks like natural teeth and is fixed in place, it is not removable. As the term implies, a bridge spans the gap of a missing tooth by using the adjacent teeth as supports. These supporting teeth must be shaped and contoured to a specific design so that the bridge can be adapted accordingly.

Partial Dentures

Patients who have lost several teeth, but not all, may benefit from partial dentures. Partial dentures are anchored by the remaining teeth via a rigid framework and clasps. The clasps wrap around the supporting teeth to provide stability. If many teeth are missing, it may be possible to add support with the use of one or more implants.

People who have lost all their teeth can be rehabilitated with full dentures to regain chewing function, and restore esthetic symmetry and facial integrity. Elevate Dental can creatively guide the arrangement of the teeth with partial and full dentures in 41238 so that they look vibrant and natural. If retention is a problem, then the use of implants together with dentures could greatly improve the quality of life.

A tooth that cannot be maintained often has to be removed (extracted). The need for an extraction ranges from infection to trauma to orthodontic treatment, among others. A missing tooth may cause drifting of the remaining teeth, which can in turn lead other problems such as a bad bite, jaw pain and added stress to the remaining teeth. It is advised that any missing teeth be replaced to maintain normal function.

Root Canals

All teeth have blood vessels and nerves, collectively called the pulp. Injury to the pulp may cause pain or infection, the most common cause being either deep decay or trauma. Root canal treatment requires the removal of the pulp from the core of the tooth – from the canals within the tooth. The canals are then sealed. A crown is usually placed afterwards to maintain structural integrity.
